hey guys I'm undecided which sub to pull the trigger on.. the PA-150 or PL-200. Am gonna use it pretty much for everything ,movies, music,tv etc. I'm prolly going to pair them with promonitors 1000 for fronts ,procenter 1000 for c, promonitors 800 for rears. Incase you guys wanna know my budget on a sub is 300-350 .

Thanks!

Between those two, I'd opt for the PA-150 based on the measurements of both by Josh Ricci. Still, I'd reconsider the allocation of funds. For most people, the subwoofer is the last thing you'd want to skimp on.

If you're talking about the BIC Acoustech PL-200, I got mine on sale from acousticsounddesign.com for $279 + free shipping. Regular price $329.

I measured it with my own ears and for the price it performs well on both music and movies for me until I can step it up with the big boys. I think they might call it the VK-12 now though.

Bic America VK-12 Powered Subwoofer

"We proudly introduce the BIC/Acoustech Platinum Series PL-200
subwoofer. If you are looking for a top-tier subwoofer at an affordable
price, we strongly suggest you audition the Acoustech PL-200. Although
both the H-100 and PL-200 are superb value performers, the PL-200 is
driven by an audiophile state-of-the-art BASH amplifier capable of
delivering up to 1000-watts dynamic peak output.
For extended bass response, the PL-200 also has more internal cabinet volume than the H-
100. The PL-200 can move an impressive volume of air with exquisite
control while delivering prodigious amounts of bass power for both music
and theater applications. A sleek cabinet with hand-rubbed black lacquer
top and bottom offers a deep gloss shine that is more scratch resistant
than many lacquer finishes on the market. Like the Acoustech H-100, we
guarantee the PL-200 will knock your socks off, especially for the price!"

I will second the Cadence CSX-12 MkII. Very good budget sub for the price.

Instead of the STF-2, I'd opt for the VTF-1 for a bit more money VTF-1 MK2 Subwoofer

Honestly, I wouldn't expect either subwoofer to satisfy a discriminating listener for music. The question is: how discriminating are you?

Well, in your price range for the mere fact that the PA-150 has the larger 15" woofer I'd go with that for the extra $50.

But I listen to a lot of reggae music which is notorious for bass and I guarantee you I get my $329 worth from my PL-200!

Just can't wait to upgrade to an SVS or maybe FW later on. ;)
