What do you think of my budget audio rack setup

Well I am getting a little closer to completing the 2.2, I stained the wood pieces last night, in person it matches the rosewood very well {in the pics its hard to tell}, I had to do a little dry rubbing to get them almost identical {and had to add a tiny bit of red dye}, very time consuming... But looks good.. I am still waiting for the matching spikes {Going to have spikes under the amp stand and inbetween the amp stand and top stand, Im embedding brass discs into the amp stand to receive the top stands spikes}...

The blocks for the wires worked out better than I thought, we milled a 1/2"X1/2" deep groove through the tops and bottoms, I ran the signal wires on top and the power on the bottom...

The Pure i20 stand is going to have 3 tiny spikes on discs also, but it isnt going to stay ontop of the power strip like that, the power strip is going under the dac above the amp on a couple brackets I made {so its going to kind of hang from the dac's shelf}, then I have a tinted piece of glass that is going onto of the dac's stand {hence the longer upper legs}, then the ipod dock will sit on top of that with its smaller spikes...
I know the wires are a mess, just kind of moved it all around to get a feel for it...

And I know my Masters Voice statue is causing sound wave reflictions, so no need to point that out, lol... seriously though I cant tell the difference with him there or not...

Im currently up to $2400 {not including the statue lol} spent on this system... Not too bad for a 1200 watt 2.2 digital tower system.

PS it looks a lot better with an ipad on the dock but my son borrowed it for a class trip...

Also if anyone is interested in the wire blocks or i20 stand in oak ready for stain they are $15 per block and $35 for the oval with spikes... They are little more in Black walnut. Can also get cherry, maple, and $veneer$...

Nice looking setup. Do the cable elevators really open up the sound? :D

Those are nice looking subs! Are they ported or sealed?
The Are Sealed, I fell in love with these, they are some of the most musical subs I have heard, for a theater I think there are more rumbly powerfull options for less money, but these would easily compete with any other 300w 12" sub for clearity.. I have my towers crossed at 100 and subs at 85, and it sounds excellent with all types of music.. They have remote controls that allow you to change phase, volume, and the crossover setting, as well as set presets, pretty handy....
So if I am listening to something where I like the crossover set lower and volume higher I can hit preset 1 which is crossed at 65 and volume 90, or something with a lot of female vocals and live instruments, I cross at 85 and have the level at 77 would be preset 2, and so on...
I have a black one brand new in the box for sale;) regular price $999 or 1299msrp, Ill sell for $350!!!!

Didnt you know that carpet makes static electricity? Before I installed them it sounded terrible I was giving the system away on craigslist, but now with them blocks of wood I can hear Jesus telling Scott Stap what to sing!!! :D LOL, they make absolutly no difference in sound, lol... But they look cool... Kind of like power lines running through my living room...

If they were a bit bigger and you had another one at that price I would consider it. I need a pair of subs that my mains can sit on. Right now a pair of PSA XV-15 are leading contenders.

They make a larger sw380 which is 15", although I tried them and liked the sound of the 300 better for my style of music...

I just listened to about 25 tracks on that system and I like how it looks :), I was leary at first thinking tooo much rosewood, but it grew on my quickly...
The good thing is my wife approves... Im surprised no one commented on my old looking furniture, I dont know why but I was drawn to it, I love it for some reason and it is not my style at all, It was a 3 piece set, just sitting in the furniture store all alone, surprisingly comfortable, but reminds me of my grandmothers house for some reason... Looks ancient But is actually only 4 months old.

Excellent looking system, very symmetric. I like it. :D

Except for some of the wires, especially the white wire on the right side. :D
Yah, that damn white wire irritates me to no end, I took them all down the other day and packed them back away, I told her I got confused and thought Halloween passed, so she corrected me and put them all back, and then notified me that when them come down thanksgiving goes up then xmass, near years, valentines day, easter, she went on and on, so I decided I am going to run a new outlet to put rite in the sill... That will at least stop the crazy extension cord issue she is killing me with...

Anyway thanks for the compliment, means a lot coming from you, lol "symmetric" exact word that describes your sig...
