It's always interesting to see what else is out there and to hear people talk about their gear. Kind of similar to the pros and joes gallery that way. I watched one tonight where the guy showed his audyssey calibration, seems kinda silly but to each their own.

I check out some subwoofer or speaker videos on occasion, and if I come across some nice HT vids I check those out as well, it's always nice to get some new ideas.

No, but that dude really needs to discover AT screens in a big way IMO. Those MLs are not only horiz MTMs, the ribbons are oriented horizontally too, and they will disperse along the shortest distance, which is to say, up and down, and not left and right. Maybe an understandable compromise for a horizontal center speaker on a budget (after all it's usually front and center), but all front 3, well darnit.

If a false wall is too much, I would go for three in wall speakers built right into the wall, with an AT screen hanging right over them. Depending on the viewing distance, he could make one out of the same stuff that G Lucas uses for about $200ish all said and done. If the distance is very close, and the screen isn't so big, I'd up the budget for 4K cert'd material.

If he sells those speakers, he might have all the money he needs, without anything out of pocket. Wait, I don't know those rear speakers, but maybe some more of those for the job? Anyway, I am confident that having three vertically arrayed speakers all hidden behind the screen will so transform his experience, he would buy me at least a few beers. :D
