Cabin in the Woods ... pretty cool. ;)

Not a good choice for Adam ... unless he's with Rick. :D

I mowed thru an entire season (15 episodes, I think) of Melissa and Joey the past two or maybe three nights. I gotta say, it cracks me up. :)

I watched The Grey on Netflix. It was suspenseful, but with its completely predictable cast of characters, disappearing one at a time like nuns in the Dialogs of the Carmelites, it got rather painful toward the end. For reasons not entirely clear, Liam Neeson is in charge. As we know from other movies, he doesn't play characters that avoid danger. The question I wanted to ask, however, is the following:

You're in a plane crash in the northern wilderness...long, long, long way from anything but snow and bitter cold;

You're surrounded by wolves; you hear them howling in every direction, by the hundreds, you see their glowing eyes;

You might assume that, when the plane didn't show up (its a big plane), somebody went looking for the wreckage;

You have a choice; which is it?.

1. Should we take off walking, injured, cold and hungry, into the wilderness and the dark that is teeming with howling wolves, with no food, no idea where we are and no idea whether anything like civilization is out there?

or

2. Should we stick with the wreckage, get some shelter from the weather and the wolves in the remains of the plane, hope that somebody comes looking for the plane and can find the wreckage and its black box (a big target)?

Apparently the writers thought the answer is number 1. I'm guessing that the toughest thing they ever had to survive was a backup on the LA Freeway.

We saw yesterday both Ice Age 4: Continental drift and Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted

Mini reviews (some spoilers ahead)
Ice Age 4: Continental drift
Boring and ancient squirrel shticks got so old they far away from funny.
It felt like bad lesson for morals disguised as family move - with probably one joke worth mentioning was Holy crab

Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted
Actually quite decent and despise overly extended circus scenes felt much better made. Overall much better done than ice age. This one worth a rent for sure even possibly ownership. Have to praise - they done really good job with surround audio mix.

I watched The Yellow Submarine on BD over the weekend :D

To be honest, I thought all the first two Madagascars were funny too. The first two Ice Age films were good.

I have The Grey for this week at some point and will be finishing Weeds S7 probably tonight.

Starting to watch the 5th and final season of Damages.

Given the continual downward trend in quality my hopes for this season were not terribly high, but I have difficulties not finishing things out even when I'm not enjoying myself.

It seems my expectations were possibly a little high...hopefully it gets better when it gets in the swing of things.

The first season, which is a self contained story line [each season is], was fantastic and I fairly highly recommend it.
