I've noticed a trend of late (or maybe it's always been) of newb op's repeating themselves, comming off as non-responsive, and generally ignoring what the experienced and unbelievably patient old hands here have to say. Perhaps they just want to read their on words ( I know i do) but I pay attention to what others are saying too! Anyhow,I find myself growing weary of the same old droning-on of it and was wondering if I'm alone in my frustration or am I on to something. I posted this in the vent as I don't want to offend any prospective members and figured its the best place to keep it semi low-profile. I also realize that I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer and have said and done plenty of plenty of things that were of questionable taste, judgement , or otherwise. Maybe I'm just getting old and crotchety and this is all an exercise in patience. I guess my objective in joining was to: ask questions , learn from the input I receive, and share the experiences I've had on the forum and from practical experience.
Some people come off as total knuckle heads though and I suppose that AH is no different than the rest of world. Oh, I get it now.. Disregard the rest of the post as I'm better now :)

I'm not as involved as I used to be, but that sounds like folks since I started. :) Some people post the same thing multiple times because they see different forum sections and aren't sure how they work. Being a general ignoramus myself, I cut them some slack. :D Oh, and there have always been trolls. :p

WHATS THE BEST SPEAKER FOR ME? I WANT A HOME THEATER, 7.2, I HAVE A BUDGET OF 100 AND A ROOM THATS 34X70? IS BOSE GOOD? I HEARD BOSE WAS REALLY GOOD AT BEST BUY! I THINK I'LL GO FOR THE MONSTER CABLE BECAUSE IT HAS TIME CORRECTION TO MAKE EVERYTHING HAPPEN AT THE SAME TIME.

You'll blow your brains out if you care to much. Know when a lost cause is a lost cause, and maybe, if you're feeling dirty, split that **** in half.

Some people come off as total knuckle heads ...
It's much easier to deal with them after you've had several drinks. ;)

I think it's strange when a non-regular makes intelligent posts ... and then disappears. Like where did they come from and where did they go? Where did they learn the Secrets of Sound?

And another thing.. I'm no James J. Kilpatrick, (RIP) but every time I read a post that is badly mangled in both spelling and grammar, I have a hard time taking the poster seriously. I use my phone and iPad to surf these threads and although the spell- correction feature can be a pita, it reminds me when I'm screwing up. I know that all platforms have such features and circumventing said features is more trouble than than letting them do their thing. I guess I'm a bit of a dinosaur in this respect and shouldn't judge people based on these minor matters but I do. Rant over.

I hate people too, they suck, should ban everyone and sit here alone... The porn sites would have a lot more traffic..

Is it just me or ... pretty much everyone else can't stand to read posts without line breaks (paragraphs)
Then I see one, I just ignore it and move on.

Like where did they come from and where did they go?
Cotton-Eyed Joe???

Really though, those folks are probably a little like me: been floating around various audio forums for a while, and occasionally feel like tossing in their two cents and perhaps forgot the last login/password that they set up.

I have to agree with this one. I prefer line breaks. But then, it may be a generational thing ("thing" reminds me of my grandfather who when told by his grandkids that they were just "doing their thing," would respond with "What's this 'thing' everyone is doing? Why does everyone have a 'thing'? why can't you just say what you are doing?"). It seems as if there is a decrease in the use and teaching of proper grammar and prose to younger generations. I could be wrong of course... But then I had to write so many papers in high school and college that I'm not too shabby at it now.

Give me paragraphs or give me something to drink!

I'm also partial to bullet points. But after how many years of working for a living, I don't write as much now that I am a PowerPoint Zen-Master! Man, I hate making PowerPoints...

If one can't take the time to put their thoughts in an easily readable and understandable format, why should I get a headache trying to weed through and separate their thoughts to give them an answer?

It ain't worth it to me. I'll help someone who respects us enough to communicate clearly.
