Mounting subwoofer in a 19" rack

I'm looking at mounting an SVS SB-13 in (the bottom of) my 19" rack which also houses the rest of my electronics. It looks like it'll fit, look neat visually, and won't pose thermal heating issues, but I'm worried about transmitting vibration from the subwoofer to the rest of the electronics, possibly damaging them.
Are there any downside issues to mounting such a large sub in a 19" rack? My plan is to place it on a shelf (rated to 250 lbs, attaching to both front and rear of the rack, ), and not screw the sub to the shelf directly. I could put it on a vibration-absorbing mat if that would make a difference.
Has anyone tried this and is there a downside I'm not considering?

You're limiting yourself in sub placement, but you already knew that.

Frankly, I think the upside of it looking cool there is vastly outweighed by the possibilty of getting poor results from that placement and the vibration aspect that you already know about. If it was a dual opposed sub, like an Epik, you'd probably be ok on that second point.

I'd find somewhere else to place it.

Will it work? Sure. Is it the best plan? Probably not. Vibration likely won't cause a problem for the other components, though yes, I would put an isolation pad under it if you do choose to go that way.

There are two separate issues here: my rack happens to be in an ideal location for sub placement, namely right in the corner of the room. Before any eq tests, the bottom of the rack is a very desirable location for the sub to be.
A separate issue is the possibility of damaging other components by sub vibrations. Now that I look at my setup, the bottom of the rack is hollow. I might be able to uncouple sub vibrations by making a plinth (inside the rack) that transfers sub weight directly to the floor, and only couples to the rack via the (hardwood) floor. Still, the rack feet would be just off the 4 corners of the sub.
I'm loth to give up the room corner to the rack, but moving the rack is a major headache.
