My stupid purchase

Return shipping and the time to ship it ... and the time spent on that barrage of emails. What gets me most is when ... nevermind, it's too early to get bent about effing eBay. I recently had a non paying bidder charge leveled at me. I told them I had a receipt and I had the item. That led them to conclude that I in fact did not pay. But I have a receipt. Seller says you didn't pay ... that means you didn't pay. Maybe I shouldn't have called them retarded.

So, what was the final outcome? Double-billed? Just take the ding on your feedback?

My feedback is still 100% but I did take that ding/black mark of non paying bidder. I guess eBay keeps track of that and monitors the frequency of said bad behavior. They can pretty much smoke my shorts. They've figured out a way to eff up what I had previously thought to be a fool proof exchange.

I have a couple of those subs in my main system out in the living room. At first I just had one and I thought a 2nd would sort of help to even out the bass response but I had to employ an EQ to cut some major peaks around 50Hz-60Hz. Those peaks I believe are engineered into the response to fool fools into thinking that they are in fact getting lots of bass. Anyway ... I think the SVS sealed box has a smaller box and I imagine it must have a better FR. Of course it's more money but that's half of why we do this, right?

I just picked up a STF-1 to play with, may be willing to let that go for cheap. Don't know if that is the kind of subwoofer you are looking for though.

Yea I love this sub. Very imppressed by it. Very very tight bass and very musical in our bedroom. If this is what the vtf 1 sounds like at 8 inches I can only imagine what th other HSU subs sound like. This was a great buy.
