Well it's not illegal to ship a firearm. You just have to have all the permits and whatever that allows you to do so as a firearms salesman. I believe you also have to be shipping to another store or dealer or back to the manufacturer or something like that as well.

However this doesn't sound like that so odds are it'll be a big deal. Kind of like when that guy proved that package checking wasn't happening as diligently as the government claimed after 9/11 when he shipped himself somewhere.

If he had only waited like 5 more minutes before jumping out the delivery guy wouldn't have seen him and he wouldn't have gotten arrested.
