NICE!
Definitely take Ed up on his offer to help you with optimization. The PB12-NSD are very capable subs, so I think it only makes sense to get as much of their high potential in both quality and output as you can, right?
That's a really nice looking system you've got there! I really like your little secondary screen there. I'm assuming that's for an HTPC?
And since the "upgrade bug" is never fully satisfied...
I do notice that your walls look a little bare. Maybe your next upgrade could be to add some nice acoustic treatments from
GiK Acoustics and/or
Acoustimac ?
I often find that people still think of acoustic treatments as being those ugly "egg crate" foam thingies that you see in recording booths. I mean, yes, those do exist. But acoustic treatments can be so much more attractive than that these days!
You can start with the least expensive panels, which are just solid colors in a choice of fabrics. Don't forget that you can use smaller panels, like the 2'x 2' size or 2' x 3' size and create a nice pattern on your wall. That's one way to jazz up the look a bit.
You can also get panels in suede, which can look very classy.
The most impressive from a looks perspective though are the "Art" printed panels. You can choose from stock art images, or send in your own custom images and have them printed on any panel!
Most wives and girlfriends like to hand pictures or posters or some sort of decoration on the walls anyway. Why not "kill two birds with one stone" and have those pictures double as acoustic treatments? It's win-win!
Acoustimac has a larger selection of sizes, and they also offer printed bass traps. GiK can do it too, but it's a custom order. Their standard "art" panels are only the 2" thick absorption panels. GiK does offer nice wood frames as a custom option though, so that can be a nice touch if you want frames around your panels so that they really look like works of art. GiK is also the best place to go for diffusion panels of all types. Acoustimac only deals in absorption. Between the two companies though, you can outfit your rooom any way you like and have it look great while being affordable!
Something to ponder, anyway...
