I think that I would skip the Polk - what else is available
in Australia?

No budget?

4 of these (HP version):
The SubMersive - Seaton Sound Discussion Forum

or 4 of the 18.0's:
18.0

or 2-4 of these:
JTR Speakers*|* Captivator

But seriously, what's your budget (roughly) and how big is the room? Include any connecting rooms or hallways you can't close or seal off. I assume you probably want to get something that is local... but you did say no budget, so maybe you can handle the import fees?

Oh, and make sure you let us know the budget in your local currency, and if you're nice, in USD, since that's where most of us are.

I did a quick currency conversion in Google... $1600 AUD is about the same here in America.

What about something like a SVS PB12-NSD. Elite Electronics sells them in Australia, and they have them for $1000.

SVS PB12-NSD 12 800W Ported Subwoofer - $999.00

A place called Deep Hz sells them as well (looks to be same prices):

Deep Hz SVS

I'd rather have one of those than a compartively priced product from Polk or Velodyne.

You might also want to contact HSU or Rythmik Audio to see if they are available to ship to AU as well.
