Previous perusing on AH has gotten my brain thinking about the Denon 3313, so my audio gear financial sphincter was already poised to open. But, the 3313 hasn't been available. Phew, $1200 "saved." I get up this morning and see the post about the Denon 3312 being on sale for $550. Hmmm, tempting...spend some time researching, thinking about it...but then I see that it won't do everything that I want. Ahhh, $550 saved.

Skip ahead an hour or two, and I read a post from Matt that has a link to ebay, and next thing you know, I'm messaging someone about a pair of speakers that cost $550 (not counting shipping).

The mental dominos have begun to fall...

We are going back to Sierra Vista only until I retire, not sure if I'll stay there afterwards, depends on were the jobs take me.

I agree. I was thinking about the Denon because of Audyssey, but after seeing that the XT32 is out there, the XT didn't get me salivating that much.

As for the speakers, they were NHT 2.9s for $740 after shipping. The seller never responded, but the item sold while I was waiting for the response. I wanted to know how they would be shipped. They look (and are claimed to be) mint, but bad packaging would ruin that quick on the way from Florida.

Thanks, Mike. I saw those today, but I was looking at NHT 2.9 tower speakers for that amount. I've never heard the SVS speakers, but those NHTs are pretty sweet. They used to sell for around $2000.

I talked myself out of the 3312 on Amazon today because I want XT32... I think. I like my Yamaha and would like to stay with Yamaha but the Denon 4311 has had me second guessing.
