Sounds like weird question but i have my tuba placed next to my subwoofer port.
and i get the idea the bass travels lot better along the room that way.

i can even hear and feel the differences.

or am i crazy and imagining things ?

if been moving my speakers last week before i never noticed as it intergrated quite well with my speakers my 2 subwoofers.

but after i moved my speakers quite a bit if had my tuba moved further away from my sub it felt like bass was mainly comming from a corner.

now i moved tuba next to it feels more comming from no where unless its actualy comming from a direction.

Anyway picture.

other effect tuba has is that i can feel the bass better.

or is it because the port is facing side not front because without the tuba it would be facing the curtains.

If you really want to know, order an OmniMic from Parts Express, and place the mic at your ear position and measure. I find OmniMic to be a fascinating and immensely useful tool.

Or you could just leave the tuba where it is... :)

The tuba may be resonating and that is what you may be hearing. Before seeing thew picture I thought perhaps the air is doing something in the chambers but the way it is, I think it is a resonance.
