Couldn't find a place to ask; Microphone

I want to get a Microphone, one for recording voices, so that they sound natural, you know, directly to my PC, I have a A/V Receiver with a MiC in port and a Sound card with a mic jack, so either of those would work.

I plan to do some voice work and most generic headsets or desk microphones add this un-naturalness to my voice that isn't conveyed.

Any thoughts on a Microphone good for recording voices?

I highly doubt your receiver has a "microphone in", and the microphone port on your soundcard will likely yield subpar results.

I have used one of these with good results, but I assume it's a little more than you were looking to spend.

Unless it is for th set up mic

My "vintage" BSR EQ has a mic in on the front of it, and is labled as such, but it is for the set up mic only.

Ah, Setup Mic only? That's a shame.

My Soundcard is the Creative X-Fi Titanium Professional.

Not the best by any means, but mid-range.

As for USB Mics, I was looking at this; 90$

Well think about it for a minute. If you plugged a microphone into your receiver how exactly did you expect the audio to end up on your computer?
