Sub video: On the Uproll, FIRE!

I wanted to start a video thread of people posting their sub playing the first battle scene in Master and Commander: Far Side of the World.

This starts at 8:50 into the move and runs for 3:31. So go ahead and record your sub and post it!

Rent the movie (it's awesome) and shoot a quick vid of your sub at 8:50 into the movie for the next 3 1/2 minutes

It is a really good movie. I don't like Russel Crowe but it was a great film.

This is my "Go-To" scene to showcase the subwoofers for guests! Usually I've had possibly one more drink than I should've, and usually turn it up maybe just a little too loud...

My sub is down-firing so I don't know that it would be too exciting of a video.

However, I was just playing with some settings the other day and I played the opening scene of The Hurt Locker at ear bleeding levels and this happened:



If I set up my camera on a tripod during that first explosion I'm guessing there would be quite a lot of shaking going on.

OK I don't have a copy of Master and Commander handy but I took a quick video of the Hurt Locker opening scene and while the blinds didn't flip, there's a lot of movement.

The camera simply doesn't capture the impact that sound has. It rattles you to the core and obviously overloads the camera's microphones or hits the limiter.

Nice!...ok well as soon as I get a chance, I'll post a video of my VTF-15H. I don't have M&C or Hurtlocker but as long as you don't mind, I'll post a video of my sub from from another movie....cool? or are the rules pretty strict around these here parts? Haha

The blinds reacting are an instant classic... I can't believe so many enthusiasts DON'T have Master and Commander. It's almost like a rule or something if you are into HT to have that movie.

As a joke I was going to post a video of my Onkyo HTIB sub when I got home from work Friday night, but when I got home I got a message that this was waiting for me at the old lady's house.

So as soon as I get it outta the box and set up I'll post a vid.
