bookshelf speaker stands that can accomodate these speakers?

Do they have to be good-looking. If not, go to a musical instrument/pro audio store (Guitar Center, etc). They'll have what you need. Functional but not the most attractive.

Why don't you just wall mount them. Decend stands are gonna be more than the speakers. Are you using these for the front or rear. I use these Custom Fabricated Monarch Z Clips | Panel Clips mounts for my rear surrounds which are 30#. If you go with a stand I wouldn't go higher then 30" when used for fronts.

they are for the rear .. wall mounting is not ideal for my setup, I wish it was

The Sanus NF30 is a really nice stand. I have my SuperOnes on them. The top panel is small enough for your speakers.

They're normally like $80 but you can find them on eBay for about $30. They're only 30" high but I expect that would be enough. They make a 36" version that's about $65.

saw that one but was wondering if the 6x6 top plate would work w/ the 7x8 base of the speakers ..

Yeah definitely. My speakers are bigger than that and they look great.
