Hey!

I'd like to buy 2.1 speakers for my 42" plasma TV. I have a small room and my budget is around 100$.
I know quality speakers cost much more, but i can't spend more.
So the thing is, i'm looking for the least bad option for this budget :)
I'm thinking about the Sony SRS-D8, but since i'm not on expert on this topic, would appreciate any advice.

Thanks in advance!

Pioneer SP-BS21 should do the trick and save you some money. Wait for one of the sales they have on the weekend and you can catch them for as low as 49.99 a pair with free shipping. They sound real nice and would mate well with the Pioneer SW-8. If you time things right the sub is at NewEgg as well and can be had for as low as 79.99.

The Pioneers are very nice, I heard them, but they are passive speakers. The speakers OP mentions are powered speakers which leads me to belive he needs amplification as well.

As such, I'd say virtually any computer speaker within that price range would work well. Personally, i've always looked at Altec for them.

Thanks for the replies!

Forgot to mention i'm looking for active speakers since i don't have an amp.
Altec seems nice, but cost about 50$ and my budget is around 100$. Should i still stick to them? Aren't any better alternatives in this price range?

Altec does make other speakers.

Altec makes other computer speakers, both more and less expensive, than the ones used as a examples here. You're free to check them out HERE

Some of us find them tremendous value for the money. I'd venture to say a much better value than that Sony.

IMO you will have a hard time doing better than TV speakers at that price point.

Yeah, that's what i'm afraid of.

I think i gonna save some more money. Let's say the new budget is 200$.
What do you guys think about this THX certified Logitech for 130$?

Swan M10 vs. this one? Any better alternatives under 200$?
