Got a growler filled with Stone Brewery's Smoked Porter With Vanilla Bean!. Initial impressions were favorable, but the more I drank it the more it reminded me of vanilla coke. Think I'll stick with their standard smoked porter, which is fantastic.

Stone makes some really nice stuff; I can't remember the last time I didn't like one of their brews.
Their Arrogant Bastard Ale is one of my favorites. They also have a Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Stout that's very good.

This is the Oregon Coast version of the boilermaker: The Dead Guy Boiler Bay Depth Charge - Shot of Dead Guy whiskey and a Dead Guy Ale chaser - great for poker games when you need a bit of an edge (if everyone else is drinking them).

BTW: Boiler Bay is between Newport and Lincoln City, Oregon.
