So what are you saying?

I should get four 18.3?:eek::D
I was suggesting four 18.0 instead of two 18.3.

If I get dual passive Funkywaves 18.3, I would probably need to get a subwoofer amp or some amp with volume/gain control because using just the Denon AVR @ -12dB would probably be 93dBC?
It would depend on the sensitivity of the drivers and of your main speakers. But whatever you pick, I'd feed it limitless power.

I see.

Thinking about getting dual FW 12.X to replace those girly SC-10 (going back).

What would happen if I hooked the dual 12.X to the AT6012? The Audio Critic measured 130wpc into 4ohm. Would it be really bad?:D

For the 12.X yes it would be quite disappointing, the LMSr12 used there is very powerhungry, very low sensitivity, compared to the TSAD18(18.0/18.3) with over 4x the efficiency. Not that I would run the 18.3 off 130watts either.

Behringer it is, although I'm now more interested in the 18".:D

What's the difference between the LMS vs TSAD vs Pro18 (besides price)?

And difference between single 18.3 vs dual 18.0 (besides price)?

Kinda cool if you think at how powerful this sub is.

Love the looks of this sub as well

Or would it be a Hexagonal Prism? That sounds the best anyway.
Yep, that's 100% correct. I started out saying octahedron which isn't right considering all sides aren't equal, then when I realized my error, I made another error in forgetting that the "prism" part denotes it's 3d-ness.

The sides with drivers are a little wider than the sides that don't, so it's not exactly hexagonal either.

those measurements cannot be properly compared against the ones taken by ricci

Yes I know... it's a bit like comparing orange vs grapefruit, but still....
There's a big difference in measuring conditions while hometheaterhifi measures in room 3 feet from the wall and with mic distance at 2 metres
While AH measures outdoors, so of course....

My point is that the Kreisel is a very well measuring sub and it would be interesting to get proper comparable measures :p

That's a huge measurement difference. Ours is an industry standard controlled practice for accurately measuring subwoofers. In addition, we use CEA2010 test patterns for distortion and max output.

I will see if I can line up a review of the M&K with Josh.

Gene... Ken Kreisel is not with M&K anymore, Ken Kreisel stepped out of M&K and now made his own company Kreisel Sound, as far as is claimed, the subs he now makes betters the M&K models, but still true to the original M&K push&pull geometry concept....
