Is this flick a keeper worth purchasing or is it just a good rental? I can over look the fact that Tom Cruise is an idiot if there is enough special effects and good soundtrack to counter him.

Two of my movie buddies watched it and said it was easily the worst of the series. So rental for me.

Yeah, I don't know why so many reviewers raved about this one. It was OK but nothing special. I'd say rental definitely.

Even though I've seen the other MI's I don't remember them but I think where this one took a back seat is in the introduction of comedy. Was that blonde Brit in the other ones? I mean it's like James Bond meets Mr. Bean but still worth a rental for sure ... a $1.61 rental from RB that is. The girl is pretty hot ... well, I guess both girls are pretty hot but the camera thought TC running was a better use of my time.

... but I'm not bitter.

Saw it few days ago - Was not terribly impressed. The movie pretty solid and comic relieve by Simon Pegg is very welcome, however the movie is pretty long (2.5 hours) and slow at many occasions...
The video is excellent and sound is not best in the world, but pretty good

I was counting. The movie has 2:12 stamped on the disc but I took note that there was 2:06 left to watch when I paused it at the very beginning. It must discount the credits or maybe it's 2:12 with the previews. I had to be somewhere and wasn't able to watch it in one sitting during the day with the subs on. I got to finish watching it in the evening with the subs off but that's my own personal sob story.

I really enjoyed the film. It seemed a little less ridiculous than the last one was, and the story was a bit more solid which was appreciated.

It certainly was entertaining, and if you like that genre, then it probably should be in yoru collection. IMO, it was nowhere near as bad as MI-3 was, and was perhaps more fun than all of the other ones overall.

I didn't mind 3, but it wasn't as good as the previous 2. My dad picked this one up so I will be borrowing it from him
