OK, I stood up for you and your mags, but you know what is actually cooler than selling laser discs?

Chucking them. I don't mean throwing them away, I mean actually chucking them.

Lemme explain.

I used to work for a retailer (that will remain nameless) who used to use laser discs in their promotions. When those discs expired they gave them to the warehouse (where I worked) to dispose of them. Well, long story short, I would take them out to the parking lot and sail them over the adjacent freeway causing all kind of mayhem. Man, you would be amazed at how far one of those discs would sail. I can't tell you how much fun I had watching all the cars 'freak out' over the thin round UFO's skipping across the interstate.

First of all, I am not condoning any illegal activity involving multiple car pile-ups. I just want you to maximize the potential fun you might have with the discs that remain. You know, sometimes it's not just about money.

DJReef, I recently saw a LaserDisc copy of "Jerry Maguire" at the Goodwill in North Miami. At first, I didn't even know what it was, but now I think I'm going to go back and get it! I could, quite possibly, be the coolest guy on Miami Beach playing frisbee with that thing! Extra street-cred for Tom Cruise creepiness factor, too.

Just be careful not to do this around crowds. You would b astonished at the rate of speed you can generate. There's no doubt in my mind that there are some who could create enough velocity to decapitate a small child with one of these things. Really large open unoccupied fields, and parking lots would be the best place to have fun.
