Earlier today I put a pair of NHT Absolute Zeroes on my watch list on eBay. They were only $85 at the time and ending in a few hours. I expected to get a reminder from eBay so I could go and place a bid, but I never got one. They sold (the pair!) for $105.

I know I was stupid for not setting a reminder myself, but I'm still really annoyed. $105!!

Dang, that was a good price. Super Zeros available at NHT direct for $99, but they aren't Absolute Zeros.

Get a sniping program, that way you don't need a reminder.

Best deal on speakers that I ever got. ;)

J/K! :D I hope that you find another good deal. I see good deals on eBay for older NHTs from time to time.

eBay only sends reminders when something is going to end about 12h-18h away or so. It doesn't send one if it's almost ending already, AFAIK.

OK, so I didn't get the Absolute Zeroes but I did end up getting a stupid deal on a pair of SuperOnes. The SuperZero 2.0s are now doing surround duty.

I can't believe how much larger the SuperOne cabinet is than the SuperZero.

Zeros only good to ~85hz. That's not quite low enough to blend well with most subs without using a higher crossover. The Ones are good to 57Hz.

Not to answer for him, but the sound is more full and there's much more bass extension. I imagine the extra dynamics come from the larger cabinet and woofer.

Yep. Not that I prefer a floor stander (you got Ones not One XUs right?), but I like a speaker's extension to be around 50s-60s range at least.

Yeah, I got the Ones. They were slightly damaged in shipping (not anything that affects SQ or even appearance from more than a few feet away) so I got them practically for free as a result. They look really sharp on the Sanus stands I got.
