Nothing happened to my house or workplace. One of my coworkers had some large trees ripped up and fall on parts of their house though.

Hi Ladies & Gents,

An Update from Texas, All I can say is Holy Sh**. Today was something else, I have lived here since 1995 and until last year (when we took our big hit) it was like when I lived in Fla. It is always coming but never gets here.

Well, last year made a believer out of me. In 10 minutes my house had 65000.00 in damage and it totaled 3 of my cars sitting in the driveway. I will say so far we are good. I am sad to say that parts of the metroplex were not so lucky today. The good side is no fatalities reported so far, the bad is a lot of people without homes. From what I went thru last year I wish them the best.

Texun1/Bill

P.S. I think may be time to sip a little Patrons

The Dawg ok?
He is in Benbrook which got nothing more than rain. There were some hard hit areas. One school took a hit, but thankfully had been dismissed already.

Quite an exciting afternoon for a weather nerd. I'm glad people made out okay. Last year was so bad it kind of mad me more sensitive watching it. I realize very few people die in these things, but still after last year it's hard not to get concerned for people.

I'm happy you guys are okay. South of where I live an entire town was wiped out last month.

45 Pictures Of The Henryville, Indiana Tornado Destruction

Having lived in Indiana most of my life I'm too familiar with tornados. Then while living in Florida, I was in Charlie, Jean and Frances. Three back to back hurricanes. Seemed to be one right after the other anyway.

Tornados are powerful things, but we get them enough here to be prepared.

Crazy stuff. I'm glad we don't have to deal with that stuff here. We just get mild earthquakes every few years.

Earthquakes are actually more dangerous than tornadoes because they do damage over a wider area.

It wasn't too scary for me having lived in Dallas most of my life, but my wife and Mother-in-law were scared. It definitely had me nervous having a brand new home. Las Colinas, luckily, did not get hit.

My wife and Mother-in-law have an irrational fear of Tornadoes. I simply don't understand it she doesn't even like me watching the storms. I'd love to do some storm chasing someday, but I doubt she'd let me.

The Dawg is fine. I had just left Mansfield were it got ugly and was home for lunch, just hard rain at my house. One of my friends took this picture from his front yard!

I don't know anyone that's had their house or car destroyed by an earthquake though. **Knock wood**

that's a bad deal. One went two miles south of me a couple weeks ago....can't believe the destruction.

I had the chance to see the Rangers game with my reporter friend down there and apparently he had to lie in a ditch while the tornado went by him on the highway. Pretty crazy stuff.
