If you liked Melancholia, and I assume that you didn't, you're sure to also like, or not like, Another Earth, which was released around the same time...another tale of another planet that seems to be on an intercept with our earth. Both were slow and quiet, although the outcome was different. Both featured poster images of young, blond women with uncertain expressions.
I actually like both somewhat, but wouldn't recommend them unless you like slow movies that have (from an astronomer's perspective at least) a preposterous setup. Think movie producers imitate each other?
