I always want to scream - NO, NO, NO, NO!!! A million times NO!!!!
A receiver and a mechanical piece of hardware should never be integrated into a single unit. You will always end up with one half of them crapping out on you before the other, then BOTH pieces must be replaced in one shot.
Instead, if you want to slim down the system, look for a slim traditional A/V receiver like the Marantz slim receivers. Then pair it with any industry standard BD player like the Panasonic DMP-BDT210.
For about $500 you can get a fairly slim Blu-ray/Receiver separates combination that actually will allow you to grow and change your system as your needs change.
The quality will be excellent without a need to break the bank.
If control is an issue, then that is exactly why they have quality universal remote controls which everyone should have anyway.
I would strongly (!!!) encourage you to rethink the desire for an integrated BD/receiver unit as it's not a healthy road to walk on.
