Hello all

Does anyone know where to find a beach-house (for two people) like this or at least a sea-facing bungalow on Oahu?, I cannot find anything like this over there.... just big hotels

Go to another island. Oahu is pretty much just a city stuck on an island, I didn't really get the Hawaii feeling there.

I agree. My wife and I stayed 4 days in Maui and 3 in Oahu and absolutely liked Maui better. Oahu felt like being in Jersey or something. lol

You have obviously never explored the Island then, because that is so far from the truth its just sad.

If you have any questions about Oahu or Maui, let me know, I've been to both many times and can offer some great tips.

Sorry dude but I feel the same way and I used to live in Waipahu. Of all the islands I've been to I like Kauai the best.

I really want to go to the south pacific islands some day. Hawaii just lacks that novelty to me.

Kauai is beautiful, but to say Oahu is just a city on an island is so far from the truth.

Oahu has some of the most beautiful beaches in the world.

Plus after a day on a beautiful beach you still have the city to enjoy the night.

Try doing that on the other islands...LOL.

You're right, I used to rave pretty hard at The Wave back in the day, (I doubt that club's even there anymore), but I think what Cali was getting at and what I was saying is that I go to Hawaii to "get away from it all". Polahale beach on Kauai is the only time I've gotten that picture postcard white sand beach where I was the only soul around.

When we go to Oahu we stay in Waikiki, but we never hang out there during the day. It's either the North Shore or the East Side for a day at the beach. If its for adventure we head over to Kualoa Ranch for some horse back riding.

But I still like to enjoy the evening dining at a nice restaurant and not feel the need to rush. You can't do that on the other islands as everything shuts down at 9pm.

Thanks to all for the input, we ended up very far from US, probably as far from US territory as it's possible to get.

Gonna miss this place
