Can this set up be improved?

I don't know about the more expensive Polk, but all the Polk I've heard at Best Buy sounded very muddy and just not very clear.

My brother also bought some Polk towers because they looked good to him. I think $400. He got rid of them because he said they sounded muddy and not realistic.

When he listened to the P362, he was very impressed.

Thanks everybody.....I think I'm going to pull the trigger and get the EMP E55ti towers.....and then I'll get the center and sorrounds when they have them available in black...

Or you could save up some more money and get some really high-end speakers for $1600/pair like the Philharmonic 1 speakers and be set for life.

Edit: your budget is $1300 for speakers + sub. Just add $300 more to make $1600. Then get the sub later.

Now I'm deciding on a new subwoofer for my room...it is a big room(between 4 to 5k cubic)....I have been looking at these subwoofers:

VTF-2 MK 4
FV12
LFM-1 Plus

What do you guys think?? Should I consider other options??

With that much space it's going to be hard to fill the room with your $500 budget. I guess the entry level Rythmik or a decent HSU will be a good start, or you can wait until you can afford something a little nicer.
