Is anyone using Pandora Radio? How is working out for you? It's 'popping up' on receivers and blu-ray players.

I like it... I use it a lot. You tell it what kind of music you like, it plays it via its web or app interface.

Some people will tell you the algorithms/manual programming used to find you music isn't any good. I honestly don't have a problem with it and have yet to explore other internet radio options. I've never needed to.

I use Slacker. Supposedly it has better bandwidth. I will say the compression is better than Sirius or XM.

Yep. I use both Pandora and Slacker streamed through my Sony bluray. Pandora gives you the ability to be more specific with choices. Slacker is a 'genre only' service. I can't say one is better than the other, but I do listen to Pandora more.

I like Pandora and am glad it's pretty much a standard on web-enabled devices. You can have several customised "stations" for your different bents. I use it on the 'puter too but there it seems to ask if you're still listening every so often.

But, on the 'putr, Accuradio is a nice service too.

Best of all, they are both free. That's hard to beat.

I don't use it at home very often as I have XM that I typically listen to, but I'm sure I would listen to that or Shoutcast or something similar at home if my XM weren't around. I definitely use Pandora when I'm on my bike with my iPhone. It works well and gives me a pretty decent variety within my genres that I'm looking for.

I listen to Rhapsody & Pandora through my Yamaha almost every day! I control the receiver with my iphone4 & the convenience is excellent!!! I can turn on & change songs & volume from my front/backyard. The streaming is so easy to use & the audio quality is actually prrtty decent. Not CD quality but listenable.

I originally had Rhapsody. I like how i could choose ANY song i wanted at any time. What i found though was that i was having to stay on top of what was playing. As a song or album that i like ended i needed to manually setup the next song/album. Thats when i got into Pandora. I didnt think id like Pandora because your limited to 6 song changes an hr & it has commercials. But once i started listening i found i really like the convenience of putting on a station i love & to "let it be!".

I really enjoy using these new music providers

I've Sirius and XM. It seems that anytime I tried it, there were problems with the signal strength or the general audio quality.

Thank you everyone. I think that I'll audition it. As a side note, I do listen to Sky FM via the internet. But, it is very limited in function _ as far as what I found with it.

I am a subscriber to Slacker and Sirius. I use Slacker through my cell phone (AT&T) in my truck (ford) which has the sync system. I used to use Sirius, but after trying Slacker, the sound quality is much better than satellite radio. My CTS which wifey mostly drives has the subscription to Sirius. She's less particular about the sound quality so we keep it in that car. Slacker offers an offline back to your device which I use frequently on plane flights. You can also tailor the algorithm to your taste. I have 0 commercials and unlimited skips. Listened to Sirius lately? It's almost like FM radio with all the commercials, and Howard Stern cool, but not worth $15.00 a month.

What happened to me is anytime that I've heard Sirius or XM, the signal frequently dropped out and the "receiving antenna" had to be readjusted. Also, it seemed as though the midrange was way to bright and there was almost no bass and no highs and the separation was terrible. I'm not nit-picking here. The sound quality was just plain bad. I've never heard Sirius or XM actually sound listenable.
