Hello all

Do you know Joachim Gerhard or Sonics Audio?

I believe many of you at least know who Mr. Gerhard is, if not.... he is the gentleman that made Audio Physic from nothing until the famous brand it is today, even just reading about his work is exciting.... how he ran tests on Seas tweeters utilizing crossover points so low that the tweeters were literally making sparks and lightning, he crossed the tweeters so low when he was designing the Caldera that he could clearly experience the blue flashes from the tweeters, tweeters were still ok though..... of course..... they are tough coz they are Norwegian made

This exercise was probably interesting when he brought girlfriends for candlelight dinners.

Jokes aside, Mr Gerhard is one of the real few extremely creative skilled loudspeaker designers that we do have today... if you ever listened to one of his upscale products, you will not forget it, ever !!

Auditioning Virgo III and Avanti III in a very well engineered room where everything was tuned right.... made me change forever my attitude to what's possible to achieve from a music system....

even the low-end models really lived up to his name of Audio Physic.

Mr Gerhard is not longer with Audio Physic but started a new company some years ago called Sonics... To me it seems like Audio Physic is on the way down after Mr Gerhard left the company... I never read anything significant about his Sonics products, nor seen any proper tests, so I wonder

Is there anyone in here that knows anything about Sonics at all?

Well there certainly isn't any design prices for the website for sure.

But if you ever listened to what he did with speakers before.....

I am NOT trying to promote him or his products, just wonder how the sonics speakers may be......
