As much as I love the SVSound Ultra subs, they have their limits! Your room is HUGE, over 13,000 cubic feet. I mean, the SVS Ultra subs will output 20Hz at a bit over 110dB - but that's from a mere 2 meters away. A more typically sized room will have enough room gain to let one hit reference volumes. But your room? Not so much
"There's no replacement for displacement" as they say. The Passive JTR Captivator, with its large 18" driver and high excursion is gonna be able to move more air. Plain and simple. Your is the rare case where you could make an SVS Ultra run out of steam on a regular basis. It still won't distort and it won't damage itself, which is great. But yeah, in that room size? Gotta go with the JTRs in this match up
