Cheap Bang & Olufsen Penta Towers?

I've always wanted a pair of B&O pentas - There is a pair on ebay right now and to me they seem reasonably priced at less than $400 for the pair - any thoughts?


I'm not sure if I'll be able to drive up to Connecticut but anyone in the New England area could get a great deal on some amazing speakers

Those are nice speakers, for sure. My brother's friend had a pair back in the early 90s, and I was quite impressed.

The seller seems upfront about the issues with the speakers, but it might be worthwhile to see them first-hand before money changes hands. From what you said about the travel, that might not be an option. So, just think about if you care about the issues, and if so, if you're willing to put in the time and money to fix them. The only thing outside of cosmetics seems to be the midrange woofer surround rot, and there are some for sale on eBay right now (a pair for $21 for sure, but I didn't look around).
