Well... If I were you, I'm running Audyssey just to see... Certainly before I start returning stuff. Its VERY possible that the guy that installed it got it wrong. Can't get any worse, right?
I think it is or he would have know to put your speakers to small, or use the Audyssey curve for BD ect.

Re-run it and post the results..lets make sure it is right so going foward everything is in check and you are happy with your new set-up.

Anytime you change a speaker placement be sure to run audyssey, one thing I do with my sub is to set the volume down so Audyssey does not set the trim -3Db or +3db in any direction....you will have to run it a few times to get this, on my reciever it has a calibration for it so I just turn down the knob until it is at 75-76Db. I do put 1-2DB on top of what audyssey sets it to and 1.5 on my (center channel) vocals....keep in mind this is my "preference" if you change these things Like I stated it will not be in "reference".

You should have told us you were going to do that... Had you started with the K-Horns, the RF7 is a baby... Little bitty guy. Haha.

Honestly, The RF7 isn't for everybody... The 1.75" horn is a lot of horn. The brightness of that speaker exists more in the midrange. Rob has done the right thing by treating his room.

Without reading this whole thing again- what exactly is it do you feel like you're missing again? Compare your "surround" sound experience with just watching TV. The more I think about this- even though you're far from an ideal setup, Its hard to imagine it being so disappointing. It is possible that its not set up correctly, yes?
I think all rooms with horns need treatments.....yeah K horns =:eek::eek: LOL!

Just showed my wife a pic and dimensions on the rf-7's. Two words (hell no). I have to admit they're to big for my place. I'll keep looking.
I agree with her on looks and sound. I also never like the B&W 600 series.

and the Infinity Primus p362s are my favorite towers in that price range.

Maybe you just have speakers that don't sound great in your room. It happens, but I'm confident the Infinities or Energy speakers would sound excellent.

+1 - Not sure why I always forget about/overlook this speaker as a fantastic option. This speaker(line) is not only an excellent value, but a really good speaker.

I see it's 5 meters away. Sensitivity is 90db at 1 meter. 105db is the dynamic goal(30 db above THX) To reach that we much use 2, 4, 8, 16 watts if your speakers is the full 5 meters. Now we need to tack on the distance. 32,64,128,256. You need 256 watts(too high for receiver and speakers) on those speakers to get the full dynamic range. If you can move the seating and/or speakers a combined 1 meter closer you would be golden for THX dynamic needs.
Wow. I didn't get the fact that he is sitting that far away. Yep move the seating closer is free and will fix some problems.

Still going to have to drop some coin on a sub. Go wireless for it?

I would still look at the Dayton RS1202K and maybe the buttkicker wireless? I can't speak for it's usability but something along these lines.
