Would prefer a small bezel. Plan to get a PS3 and hook it up to it. So far the only TV's that are the size I want(My room is small, and I have it on top of some old TV from the 60's, using it as a stand)

So far this was what I found:

LG 32" Class Television (32LD550) 1080p, 120Hz LCD HDTV : Sears Outlet

350$ for Reconditioned. Thoughts? I tried to find a 32'' Plasma that was 1080p, but the pickings were slim...

You will find very few if any plasmas in you size category as the only ones worth buying (Panasonic or Samsung) typically start at 42".

For your size category there are Many options. I have seen many of the current LCDs in that category and I have noted that the panasonics tend to have the best off axis performance and seem to have a pretty solid natural contrast. I would at least give them a look in that category.

Best buy does have the Panasonic TC-P42X3 on sale thus week for $450.00 as well. Solid performer on a tight budget!

1080p as a requirement in a 32" TV is a little silly I think.

As stated, you won't find a plasma in this size. Plasma technology is very difficult to scale down to small sizes... even if companies were able to do it, the prices would be exorbitant compared to LCD.

Anyway, this is going to sound absolutely mad, but earlier this year I spent a long time comparing 32" LCDs. My favorite one was - get this - a Dynex. I currently use it as a bedroom TV and am still consistently impressed with its picture. It was literally the cheapest model they had at Best Buy and, play with settings as I might, it was better than anything by Samsung or LG.

Well, can drop the 120HZ if that brings the price up to much, but I want a 1080p 32 incher to put in my room for a PS3 I plan to buy. Just the prices are nuts, with most costing 500-600, where you could get a way bigger & better TV for the price.

Exactly how small is your space and what is your viewing distance? At 12' someone should own a 60"+ display at least. If you aren't sitting about 4' from a 32" display you will not get any benefit by purchasing a 1080p model.

Either way, a quality display is not about the price, it is about quality, and there is something to be said for spending $500+ on a smaller display.

You would first have to convince me that 32" was the right size for anyone. I have two 32" displays in my home and they are in guest bedrooms.... and are to small for them.

Not sure there are any I would specifically recommend, but I never recommend LG or Philips.

About 5-6 feet away from it really. I used a calculator thing and it said about 32.2 inch would be recommended for the SMPTE minimum viewing angle, so I figured I'd round to 32 and that'd be fine. Says 39 would be best, but I'm iffy if I can even FIT that, I mean, I probably could, I'm over-estimating the size of a 40'', butt still.

Also, my monitor doesn't have HDMI inputs, but I saw a DVI to HDMI adapter thing? Could I use that use my monitor? Would that cause issues due to being converted? I don't have a PS3 yet, and don't know how the exact setup is done, but curious. Ah ****, then I'd have to get sound out of my speakers, and that's a whole nother ball park since I use PC Speakers, not actual speakers.

I currently have a 24'' Flat-Panel from 2005 or so...which is super heavy, and low resolution, with poor audio, ectera. It's decent for the space I have it in, and I thought 32'' would be just about right. Only thing is I watch it at an angle from my computer alot, probably a 40-50 degree angle, and I know LCD's don't do to well with that...but oh well.

I was using this site to determine. I think 32'' would be about all I could fit in the space I want to put it anyways, at the end of my bed, elevated about 2 feet or so.

http://myhometheater.homestead.com/viewingdistancecalculator.html

It says 39'' would be perfect, so I imagine 40'' would be the right size, but fitting it might be tough as it is kind of in the corner, though if I pushed it foward and lowered it abit probably be a non issue, but I didn't really wanna spend much here.

I was honestly way to optimistic when I thought 250$ or so, it would seem.

400$...I don't know Insignia, but it's 37'', 1080p, ectera...probably a real **** TV, I don't know, but 400$ still seems like a lot.

Panasonic, 400$ though.

At 5-6 feet there is no reason why you shouldn't be looking at a quality 40"-42" display. I say quality, because you don't want something which you will feel like replacing in 1-2 years and money flushed away. A good display is one which you use for 5 years, then feel like you STILL want it. I've only had a few TVs which I didn't want to upgrade after a few years because they were poor quality. Once you get a quality display you will not want to switch it out ever.

What you need to do is to get a tape measure and actually measure the width and height of the space you have to work with. Consider that wall mounts are out there for not a lot of cash and can give you some extra space if you need it below a display.

Unfortunately, you did miss some pretty solid sales which came up on Black Friday. I picked up a Sharp 42" LCD for $200, a 46" Panasonic (720p) for $400, and a 50" Panasonic for $600. Now those prices are far higher for most displays.

Some of the features you are asking for are not going to be found on lower end displays, but instead of running for the bigger TV at a cheaper price, I would strongly encourage you to save up a bit more and go for a quality display that is the proper size for your viewing distance.

At 32", getting a 1080p display is a waste of money from your viewing distance. If you really are set on a 32", then get one which you won't feel bad about getting rid of in a few years when you realize that the size is smaller than you are comfortable with. This is even MORE true if you intend to move from your current location to something with more space.

Something like this is fairly well reviewed and would do you fine based upon your viewing distance...
http://www.amazon.com/L32HDF11TA-32-Inch-2-Year-Warranty-Black/dp/B003LPUWV8/ref=sr_1_16?ie=UTF8&qid=1324380346&sr=8-16

$250 and solid customer reviews.

At 40", I would be going for quality. So, more like this...http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-UN40D6300-40-Inch-1080p-Black/dp/B004O77COW/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1324380546&sr=8-2

Which seems expensive, but will last for years (decades?) with an image you will be happy with.

Better yet, would be something like this...
Amazon.com: Panasonic VIERA TC-P42GT25 42-inch 1080p 3D Plasma HDTV, Black: Televisions & Video

Are you joking?

I can get a Panasonic ST30 Plasma TV for those prices. Which is far better.

Listen, this is a TV for my room, which I rarely watch TV in. I mostly watch TV down-stairs. I was planning to get it to play PS3 games while I relax in bed, perhaps, but this is just becoming way to "Blah".

I was hoping for something cheap, as I thought a 32'' LCD would be pretty cheap.

You asked for a cheap 1080p 120hz television - which is like asking for a really cheap car, with a 300hp engine, and a great build quality. It doesn't go both ways, and at 32", when you go cheap, you lose the exact premium features you asked for. Moreso, you act suprised that there aren't cheap high end displays. Not sure why.

As for the prices, I suggested quality, and linked to the Panasonic GT series plasma which is better than the ST series plasma from them. Not sure what you are talking about.

The PS3 is a high quality 1080p source and I have no idea where your main TV for your home is or how often you intend to use it. If you are going to treat it like a cheap secondary display, then I linked you to a well reviewed cheap LCD display which is something that I certainly would consider on a budget. You need to make up your mind what you want - quality or cheap - because you aren't going to get much in the way of both.
