I just got two 10" Alpine Type-R's from a friend for $100, and I need to get an amp for it. I'm pretty new to subs here, and I only know the basics.

They're two 4ohm subs, bridged to 2ohms, and according to factory spec are rated at 600W rms, 1800W max.

What would I need to power these properly? I know the dangers of getting a cheap amp, but I AM a college kid on a budget, so cheaper would be better, but I'm totally lost here to be honest.

You want to use these in a car or at home?

You bridge amplifiers, not speakers. They're wired parallel to get 2 Ohms and most amps that are affordable can't handle a 2 Ohm load when the amp's channels are bridged.
