Is that a disc we should all keep in our tool kits?

I should have told them to update windows to the latest version. I did do that before installing Microsoft Security Essentials.
My window's was updated. I have had zero issues since changing to MSE and that Trojan seems to be gone for good.

Well, just start drinking again, Captain Healthy. :D You know I respect ya, Dawg - don't make this into a chick moment. :p
Ha, I have finally learned the proper balance of my biking problem and I have successfully brought my body fat up to about 93% all while losing all muscle I had and my drinking is back on track.

I am still concerned that my arteries are too clean as my BP is low and my resting heart rate is about 42.

I am so afraid that I will end up increasing my nursing home years...

Do me a favor. Get a clean pc and download Rkill with the iexplorer.exe name,

Get the latest TDSS Killer
If TDSSKiller won't run (blocked by SST rootkit) - Kaspersky Lab Forum

and run them both in diagnostic mode.

Run TDSS Killer, then rkill, then malware bytes till all is clear.

Then you can remove them all and keep the disk handy in case you have trouble again.

If things get desperate let me know and I can come over and help.

You should just get in your car right now...
Adam,

I am very insulted that you don't think I can handle this on my own.

lsiberian,

I have no idea what you are talking about. Please head over.

It may not catch everything. Who knows what some crafty malicious nerd may think up?

However reviews like this show it does as well or better than anything else.

Previously I was using AVG free version for virus and I admit I did not have a problem

I have been using Microsoft Essential for a couple of months now. The computers are fast. It is seamless and is batting 100% so far.
Both AVG and MSE are resource hogs. MSE is an improvement, but it's still a resource hog.

AVG seems to be bogging down my computer lately, so I'm certainly up for trying something new.
Please get AVG off your computer and get a better antivirus. Our tech guys deal with this stuff on a daily basis and AVG will break stuff.

I crumbled and installed MSE shortly after the post above. Fingers crossed...

It seemed to fix whatever issue I had.
Not sure but I think you missed that I was just messing with Adam. He had those same words for me after I said I had installed it on my computer a few posts back. I'm surprised Adam hasn't cleared that up already.

My computer boots up much quicker than before and doesn't go into that crazy whirring 100% CPU usage like it did when I had all that other stuff on it. MSE doesn't seem to ever find and delete anything like the other programs did but ... I guess I don't care so long as everything works alright.

I have been getting a more of those blue screens telling me that my computer did that to protect itself with instructions to restart in safe mode blah, blah, blah but I think that's my hard drive on the way out cause it's so old. I don't know ... if I did know I'd be somebody else.
