Harmon Kardon HK3420 JUST GOT ONE

Couldn't pass the deal at 280.00 shipped new in box. I can always use it in another room or if it sounds better than my Marantz PM6004 then the Amp will be in my primary room.
Is this receiver cranky about a CD PLayer match? It will be paired with my Marantz CD6004 if it's a primary or an older Pioneer DVD/SACD player

Any thoughts?

Never heard of a 3420.. Does you mean 3490?..

The 3490 is a very good receiver, especially for that price. Up from there might be the Outlaw rr2150 @ $699.
Then there is the big daddy, HK 990 integrated amp, but list is $2k. Though I have read people getting it for less.
