Best Receiver for My Needs

I am trying integrate a new receiver into my system.

$450-500 budget.

I will be utilizing my MB Quarts for the front 3, my dual EDs as subs and my MB Quart surrounds. I have bought an Emo XPA3 to power my front stage. So I do not need massive power, just want the latest decoding and setup controls, obviously preouts is a must. Long term I want to upgrade my subs and add 2 more channels for surround, I have a couple of pairs of book shelf speaks that I may integrate in also.

I was thinking about a Marantz, Onkyo or Denon as the most desirable brands.

Any advice is appreciated...Thanks

I am using my 805 to do a 3.1 channel system in my family room. So I fugured if I needed a new reciever I may as well get a newer one with some more up to date decoding and processing capability for my HT. I also just bought the EMO amp so I can effectively power my front 3 channels and will not need to break the bank to get a strong amp in the new receiver. I figure just about any power rating will hande some rear channels.

Right now I am leaning toward the Onkyo 708 from Accessories4less. Any real reason to up to the newer 709 for extra $$$

Off the top of my head (and Onkyo's website) the upgrades in the 709 include:
  • Marvell Qdeo™ Video Chip for 4K Upscaling and Processing
  • Audyssey MultEQ® XT Advanced Room-correction and Speaker Calibration
Flavors of Audyssey.

The Yamaha seems nice not sure I am getting anything over a Onkyo 708 though.
