Good stuff so far. In just the first chapter, the story is already knee deep, with a little prequel / back story bit. Even just in this first section, the action is already pretty tense, with a Bourne Ultimatum feel to it : rooftops, in and out of windows, very fast paced and a very cinematic feel. There are 100 treasures + the strange relic in this one, so even in the first sections I encountered quite a few.

Only minor nit pick: It is a bit weird that they spend so much effort on the environments, which look amazing in this one so far, yet the characters still look a bit plastic.

Not good: online pass = $9.99. If I am not mistaken, it was free previously. I know most companies are going this way, but I don't think it is going to work out too well.

As expected, I think the game itself is going to be a winner :)

I tried playing this in 3D on my new TV. HOLY MOLY!!!! I will need to replay the entire game now. It is pretty freaking amazing. Even if 3D movies die out, I hope they keep doing games this way.

I finished this a while back and wanted to update to say that it was an excellent game. I still feel the first two were a bit better, but this one still holds its own. It didn't really bring anything new to the table game play wise, but it refined a series that was already great.

If Zelda Skyward Sword didn't come out around the same time, I would have picked UC3 up. For now it's on the "To Get" list.

Oh, so I need a new TV now >=(

Maybe? 3D interest seems to be falling off IMO, likely due to cost. TV prices have come down for 3D displays though, but you still have to get glasses. I got my glasses for a really good price and I am definitely impressed so far - - $65 for two pairs of bluetooth glasses.

For gaming, 3D is pretty jaw dropping. I've also tried Arkham City and Klillzone 3, both with the same results. Far more immersive and I thought it might make heavy action sequences harder, but it actually made some of them easier. Precise aiming became a bit more difficult though, but it gives the games a whole new level of impact.

You think this one's better? I played the first two and loved them. With all the commercials they've been showing, I was hoping it'd be like the first two on steroids. How long did it take you to beat it?

Each copy (assuming you purchased new) comes with a card inside that gives you the code for free multiplayer. The other recent game I purchased (BF3) was the same way (with the free multiplayer code within the CD jacket).

Still liked UC2 better (single and multiplayer).

Yes bought it new and the code is probably in the case, but I didn't bother with it.

I am about halfway through. The story is pretty meh (the same **** keeps on happening!). I am still irritated by the fact that there is so much stuff that I could climb in real life, but since it isn't part of the set path, you will just jump at it like a retard lol.

How many time can you find an item then the baddies just follow you and take it from you?!?!

I am finding the environments better then 2, but I agree there is something still a little off with the characters. I think it is the movement to be honest, sometimes it just feels unnatural.

All in all, not as an impressive game as 2 when it came out, but still a solid release. I kind hope they put the series on the shelf for a while though, I think any more and it will start to get stale.

I know what you're talking about. The story is good at times and then there's what fills like filler in between. The overall story I felt was good, but this one as a whole isn't quite as good as the first two.

They've already stated their next game would not be another Uncharted, so I do think the plan is for a different genre using this engine. Should be interesting.
