Once i found that my seating area benifited from having my two 12"s co-located i decided that i would rather have a single 15" in that spot. After measuring i found that an HSU VTF-15h would just barely fit perfect in that exact location. So once i sold my two 12" subs i drove down to HSU Research & bought the VTF-15h from Pete!! (such a nice guy by the way!)

What a beast!!

Within a couple days i drove back & grabbed an MBM-12 MKII. I really love the impact a tight 12"'makes so i placed it behind my couch. So now with the 15" up front handling 50hz & below, i am VERY happy with the performance of Dr. Hsu's creations.

They are barely starting to break in & from my previous experience with new subs, they'll need a good month or so to really blossom. I did a very simple setup for now but am looking for suggestions on dialing them in after they break in!?

Ive been reading up on some posted articles on how to do it with the calibration cd & my spl meter but it seems tricky.

I like to tweak around in my spare time so looking forward to figuring this out. Should i be looking into a FeedBack Destroyer??

Congrats dude!

I think you might be on to something with the mid bass set up as that might solve some problems for me, while preventing some for my neighbors. I don't need to hit 20 hz, but my RBH's struggle below 90 hz, so this would at least add the oomph I need for a Neil Peart drum solo! Thanks!

I noticed that you live in Laguna CA, you are welcome to come down & have a listen to the 15h & MBM-12 combo. I live in Whittier which is about 25-30 minutes north of you. My sis lives in Aliso Viejo & i go down there a lot. Anyways , yes the mid-bass module REALLY delivers a punch & has so much headroom even for large rooms. Plus you can run it ported or sealed depending on tastes!!

J Garcia:
Check out the reviews of the VTF-15h it really gets a good write up & for a price of $879 (plus delivery if needed) you cant beat it! Rythmiks FV-15 is comparable but runs a bit more. I went with HSU because they are in Anahiem CA & i could pick it up & even listen to their subs in their demo room where they have each of their subs to listen to. Great products!!!!

Thank you for that demo

Hey Timoteo.
Thank you for the last time when you demoed that sub of yours for me.
That was TOTALLY AWESOME.
Couldn't believe what I felt. That sub of yours could even replace 2 other components you have in your room ( you know which ones).
Be proud!;)

Haha your probably right about not really needing the "buttkicker" anymore. The MBM-12 really pounds hard.

Thanks for the complimemt im glad you enjoyed the demo!

Last time i was at your place i was very impressed with your new Integra 50.2 & how it really unleashed your Klipsch. But now with your new 12" sub ill have to stop by again to see how it improves on the lowend.

WOW 2 of those beasts are going to destroy! Thats really awesome im stoked for you. Please keep us informed on what you think & please post some pics id love to see how you place them.

Moving up to the AS-1 is going to make a nice improvement.
I think there are a few on Audiogon right now!

Hey have you ever considered an MBm-12 to give you that gut punch that 12"s are known for? Im sure you wont NEED it with dual 15Hs but i would think it could improve things. Just a thought because i LOVE mine.

Congrats again Matt34.....ENJOY!!!
