I found a dealer willing to part with his PSB Imagine towers and center all for $1540. This is a floor model and comes with the regular 5 year warranty. Do you guys consider this a good buy? I am confused between this and KEF Q900? Any suggestions? Thx.

You are the only one who can choose - did you listen to the KEF?
That is a good deal on the PSB - that set is listed for around $3,000.

Both are great speakers and there is no wrong decision. You should audition both to see which ones you like the best. That is a great deal on the Imagine series.

I think the Psb Image series are more comparable to the Kef Q series...I'm not implying the Q's would not hold their own when comapred to more expensive speakers such as the Imagine series...but that deal price is a steal...IMO.

A few years ago I could have picked up the synchrony one's for $1800.--. They where also demos. I think your'e getting a great deal.

I've auditioned the PSB Imagine T at a local dealer.

They sounded pretty darn good.

But for the songs I listened to (Hotel California, Superman, Time After Time, Don't Dream It's Over), I don't think they sounded any better than my Infinity P362s when I got home and "tried" to compare them from "fresh memory".

The PSB looked much better aesthetically and are much better built, though.

I think my KEF 201/2s sound a lot better than the PSB Imagine T - IMO of course.

They both have the Uni-Q drivers, but I don't know how the KEF 201/2s compare to the KEF Q900.

Makes you wonder just how much they are REALLY "worth" before they mark these speakers up 300%!
