This..
Some of the other advice I was given from the store that I'm finding out may not be true from the forum:
Spend at least $1000 for cables and wiring for the front speakers and components.
Spend at least $500 on a good line conditioner/cleaner. Another $200-$300 on a surger protector.
I was advised to get $5000 reciever that appearently isn't rated any better than a $500 yamaha reciever.
Followed by this...
Run away!
Reminded me of the scene from Finding Nemo where Darla and Marlin are swimming towards the whale and all the Kelp are furiously going in the opposite direction squeaking, "Swim away, swim away". The analogy is just too easy :D.

Well, have Jim Salk build you a pair of Phil3 cabinets in high gloss cherry. I'm sure he would be glad to do it. And that would close the price gap so you wouldn't lose any sleep wondering what the difference was.
That's OK; I probably already have way too many gloss speakers.:D

Do you have any pictures of the cherry wood red stain finish?

No--the only red stain we've done is the mahogany. Perhaps I could get you in the driver's seat of this custom walnut job? I comes with moon roof and keyless ingnition.

Philharmonic PH3's for Me2

The PSB Synchrony One retail for $5,000/pr.

But I would not pay more than $3,500/pr brand new via authorized dealer.

If you are interested, PM me.

I believe the Synchrony One are great speakers.

But still, I would personally prefer the Philharmonic 3s @ $2,800/pr. Just a personal preference. :D

Makes me feel like buying a pair just talking about it!
I like the TEAK and Ebony, Macassar finishes. The Mahogany looks excellent also on the PH3's.

I am waiting for your evaluation of the PH3's, ADTG -- I love the driver selection, and the ML-TL built into the PH3's. I am sure my EMO XPA-5 would not sweat much driving the FL/FR at all, as it will source 200W/Ch. easily.

Hurry, get yours on order, as I want two (2) PH3's also. Lovely.

Looks really sweet. Is that your personal favorite, Dennis?

Red custom walnut. Intrigued. :D
