TV stand/ WAF emergency

I'm completely desperate. I finally get the OK to from my wife to go wild and get what I want to finish up my theater. I switched out my EMP’s for B&W CM9’s with the CM Center 2, found another matching JAMO D6 sub and got the Emotiva XPA-3. I was in a place of bliss. It is only now that it has all finally come together that I finally realized that it isn't coming together at all. My center channel is causing me grief and heartache. My TV is a 73" Mitsubishi and my original plan was to keep our current TV stand and move all of my equipment to a separate rack. Unfortunately the center doesn't fit at all on top of the current stand where my other center would sit. I knew it would be a tight fit but I didn’t sweat it since I assumed I could find another stand that would work if need be. I didn't think it would be this difficult. Does anyone know of a manufacturer that makes a large TV stand that will house what is basically a center channel that is 9" tall and 24" wide? I actually found one that would work but because the width of the stand would be allow for our TV to overhand the edge by an inch on each side it got the veto. I thought I found a Bell’O stand that would work but the center compartment isn’t wide enough. My next option is to get a center speaker stand for it and place it in front of the current stand but that is not going to get me a vote for husband of the year and you know as well as I do that it will ALWAYS be mentioned. Anyone have an suggestions/ solutions?

For the life of me I cannot find pictures of the back of that center speaker. If it is rear ported, you will need to stick with an open back stand like the Salamander linked by Phil.

Put a shelf on the wall behind/above the tv and put the center there.

The Salamandar looks like it might be the best bet. What concerns me about it is opening for the center channel as 8.25" and the specs for the Center 2 are listed as 8.6". That was a company I haven't found yet so I appreciate the link. There is a dealer a little over an hour away from me. I may take a drive up there and see what they have to offer.

There are two ports in the back of it CM Center 2. For movies and TV I don't think I would be too distracted by the backing. However, when watching music dvd and blu rays I could see myself possibly getting annoyed. If I find something that works I could always cut a hole out of the back if needed.

Put a shelf on the wall behind/above the tv and put the center there.
That was actually the first suggestion I made in which she quickly struck down. I'll probably push that one again. Beats paying grand for another stand. If nothing else maybe there is an opportunity somewhere in this.

Thanks for the responses.

You haven't mentioned your budget so let me add one more option to your already growing list. My brother just purchased one of the FURNITECH units and let me tell you that it is a beautiful, solid piece of furniture. The quality and construction are top notch. For your application I would recommend the FT72CCB which has a center compartment opening measuring 9.96" H x 29.84" W x 15.75" D.

For some reason I could have sworn the salamander had a 9" opening. I must be losing it lol :(

You aren't losing it all. The link for the "Triple 30 with Center Channel Shelf" says the opening is 9". After you click on it the description it list the opening as 8.25".

I'm really digging the Innovex one. I had been to that website but never saw that one. I'll for sure be showing the wife that one. I had seen some Furnitech but I don't think that I saw that one. My budget is open but I would for sure like to keep it under $1,000. Looks like I have a good list to go over with the wife. Thanks guys! You are helping save my bacon! Brews all around!
