Hi!

I bought recently pair of B3030A. Successfully plugged them in my laptop (sound is coming out) and am getting some background noise. Some sort of static is coming from tweeters. I am no audiopholic but its quite noticeable :(

As well how stereo is supposed to work? I noticed once that one monitor was louder tried exchanging cables and then the other one was louder. Is it normal?

PS It seems they are equal loud. At least in windows media will have to look up movie settings

Try filtering Power strip or UPS and good isolated cables like these: http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=102&cp_id=10218&cs_id=1021803&p_id=5347&seq=1&format=2

I got bespeco SLY2JR180 cables. They have definitely worked on design. Are they good?

How to do filtering?

Edit. Omg sometimes when my old laptop is loading program that uca green button is blinking and speakers putting out rapid puff puff sounds.

Any ideas what switch off on monitor does? Dont see difference.

It goes in blinking mode every time I switch manually between windows media songs  Creating nasty sounds.

Sounds like some kind of IRQ conflict. You may want to consider a cheap usb soundcard.

Thanks for advices. It seems it was false alarm at least to the background noise. My hearing is good and it seems I am hearing the in build speaker electronics. Laptop and speakers close and on small volume. Will just put some distance between myself and speakers and it should solve problem :)

Hmm switching usb port seems to have helped. At least right now I am not able to duplicate previous slow switching before songs with thump thump. Though theres now short irritating tssp every time when audio starts >> new song, movie or just clicking 20 seconds ahead in sound track.

Just installed the driver from behringer homepage + restart. Now I can move 20 seconds forward and no noise but instead when I manually want to switch between songs it goes again blinking with thump thump effect :( It looks like problem is with software driver I am trying to use. But its the one I downloaded from behringer homepage

RMA? You mean like exchange for new uca202?

I exchanged it for m-audio fast track. 2 times more expensive then uca202 and really ugly + 4 times bigger. Well at least no more audio quality issues (at least yet). Still every time I look at it I think what an ugly brick. They definitely putted their effort in sound quality not in design.

Now everything sounds nice. I recommend behringer b3030a they sound great. Stay away from uca202 you get what you pay for and m-audio fast track is just too ugly to recommend.

Thanks for help :)
