Get the My Movies Plug-in for WMC. Pay them $50 (it is a donation) the $50 gets you the ability to call external BR playback applications like Total Media Theater or Cyberlink's DVD Platinum. Get AnyDVD HD from Slysoft for allowing MyMovies to copy and add the title to the collection management.

And for the love of some higher power, please read the help on MyMovies. It will save you having to start another thread. Just make sure you are ripping to a folder structure and NOT ISO.

Assuming you have a BR drive for the computer, the software portion should be less than $200.

To be completely honest, there is no solution for you that is going to be very straightforward.

Are your movies ripped already, or do you need to do that too?

I like MakeMKV. It's pretty straightforward to use.

You can use Make MKV to create MKV files of your movies, then Media Browser to view them in WMC.

Go to the MyMovies website and get the help guide. It has a step by step. Or are you looking for spoon feeding?

I have a question. I have my movies ripped to a external HD, and have it plugged into my comp, but when I look at my movies there is no album art at all. Im wanting to get album art kinda how the Boxee and Netflix looks like. Is there a way to get it to look like them on Windows 7?

What do you mean 'look at my movies'. You need something that is meant to catalog your collection. LMGTFY

What I meant by "look at my movies" is that Ive used Windows 7 before and saved ripped movies straight to my hard drive. When I went into windows media player slected movies I could see the movies with album art that I have saved to my hard drive. But the movies that I have on my external hard drive have no album art when plugged into the comp, but the ones that are on comps hard drive has album art why is this? Thats the real queation that I have.

So you are seeing titles on the external HD but no cover art?

Some of the obvious stuff you can try:

Make sure the External HD is being monitored. Alternatively you could move a movie from the external HD to the internal (working) HD and see if the cover art gets pulled.

You can backup the current MCE data base and then delete it. Make sure both HD's are in the monitored folder list and let MCE re-catalog and build a new database.

Yes, I can see all my titles on the externl HD in there folders.

Im pretty sure that everything is being monitored. But I will also try that one too.

I just figured that if I hooked up my external HD and go into media center and select search my library it would find all my movies. Then if I went to settings and get cover art it would show up. But for some reason its not getting the cover art or description of the movie like it should. It just shows all my movies that are on that HD just by title with no cover art. Im wanting cover art as you would see on Netflix and Boxee. Maybe Im just not bringing it in right. I just know when I use the Boxee app that it works just fine. It brings all my movies in from the external HD and also finds all the cover art with description. I was jsut wanting to use it through Windows.

Settings for what? Media Center?

Media Center really has no built-in support for that kind of thing.

Yes media center. I thought that I saw it somewhere that you could have media center search for cover art. If thats not an option then how does media center know to get the over art for your movies then?

Not looking for spoon feeding just a little help i did say forgive me in my origional post. I will look at the wesite you metioned thanks for your time.

I dont know how to do it and have never dont anything in WMC or Windows 7 except install it and put drivers on. That is where i am at there.

I looked through the website that looks like a seperate download is that the way it has to be done. I was wanting to do it with WMC itself not installing any other software but if it is required i will have to.

I dont even know what type of file formatt is required.

You are over thinking this way too much.

1. Download and install the MyMovies Server/Client setup (*your computer will be both the server and the client)

2. Install ANYDVD HD

3. Read the help guide for MyMovies.

You do that and you will have a killer DVD/BR juke.
