I am waiting for an eD A2-300 but it has taken 5 weeks and i think will be a while yet, so no eD products please (nothing against the company, they are great, but I cant wait so long...my break is almost over lol).

What exactly is b-stock?

Also...man, those are all good choices. I love the look of the dual opposed drivers, HSUs track record, and the direct servo tech in the rythmik.

B-stock can mean a number of things. It could be a customer returned item and/or have minor visual defects or something along those lines. I would recommend emailing outlaw directly and asking them the condition of the subwoofer.

For example, my LFM-1 EX has a defect on top - the inlaid plexiglass top was not fully seated and isn't perfectly flat. It's noticeable when the lights are on/if you look directly at it, but it doesn't affect its performance as a subwoofer at all.

That's a bit of a toss up...they are all going to do well. Of those, the Legend will most likely have the most output. The Rythmik will likely be the cleanest sounding, though the Legend is sealed and will be a good all around sub IMO. HSUs have traditionally been very musical but the current VTF-2 digs deeper compared to the older ones, though it is vented. The Rythmik is vented, but it is also a servo sub, so it will still be clean.

I am sure if you dig deep enough, all of them likely have things that either clean up or extend response integral to the amp, so that is a non-issue in my book. I have an Empire, so I can say from experience, how it is done doesn't matter. The main performance for their subs, and where the vast majority of the sound is, is higher up in the range.

Yes, servo is a great thing. I've heard a sealed Rythmik and it is a solid performer. I also previously used one of their amps for a sub I had and I have no problem recommending their products at all. Prior to buying the Empire, I was considering building one of the GR/Rythmik (GR Research driver w/Rythmik servo amp) subs.

I have no experience with any of the three or the ed. The specs on the ed are very impressive though and I certainly wouldn't say it loses. I'd like to see a proper review of all 4 subs

I'm just trying to figure out which one offers the best bang for the buck of the three. Im assuming that the Legend and the FV12 are the most accurate, while the VTF2 goes a tad bit lower.

I LOVE the dual opposed drivers of the legend, and the specs state it goes to 16-18 hz usable, and i like how it is sealed. But i have also heard awesome things about the direct servo tech of the Rythmik FV12 and everyone keeps recommending it.

Paralysis by analysis You'll get too absorbed in looking at reviews and opinions and specs, but you'll have to choose one eventually. Like I said, I bet any one of them would be awesome for you.

Bought the B-stock LFM-1 EX! Pretty damn excited! Hope there's no visual imperfections. Wish I'd have caught the damn sub in June during the sale when it was $555 new...
