What missing.... an Awesome subwoffer of course.

OK So I started a project of upgrading everything in my home audio system from Onkyo to lets just say higher end products. Yes even my speakers were Onkyo. Not saying Onkyo is a low end product just the model I bought was...
So I bought the Pioneer SC-57 for my head unit. Can't say how much I ove this thing. Crazy awesome woking it from my iPad while waling about the house.
Bought the Verus Grand Towers for front.
Verus Grand Center
Verus Grand Bookshelf for sides
and finally, yes you guessed it the new Verus Grand Dipole speakers to reside behind me.
Next on the chopping block the sub. It is a front firing sub, cant tell you the watts as they are not listed. Should I get front firing? Side firing? Down firing?
Here is the sub I am thinking of. rythmikaudio.com/F12SE
I know if I make the wrong choice it will make the bass sound dissconnected for the rest of the audio and it will stick out.
Thank you in advance for replying to a question I am sure is posted multiple times a day.

Forgot to add. Mid to large size room. Wood floors. Music and Movies are what I do. (as I am sure most do). Finally budget is around 1K give or take. If the value is there and it would be the perfect match I can climb to 1.5K. Its about value with the right quality and sound. Thus the Verus Grand speakers. The AMP was a splurge.

OK Cool. I can do a FV15HP. I just want to make sure it will sound good with music as well as while movies are playing. No, it does not have to be small form factor at all. Once the sub woofer question it is time to shop TVs.

OK read the review completely. I'll go for that one. I just hope I can get it calibrated properly. As I am sure everyone can tell I am a bit of a newb relying on reviews and forums advice. Calibrating the system will present a challenge for me no doubt. A learning experience is forth coming. Thanks for the advice and pointers to the article.
