It has a 12 inch driver as opposed to a 10 inch driver. It also has larger cabinet volume.

Check the specification tab on both subwoofers.

The total displacement of the a2-250 yields 1281 cubic centimeters
The total displacement of the a2-300 yeilds 1645 cubic centimeters

FWIW, I own an a2-300 and it is great in my bedroom which is about 20 X 16 feet with 8 foot ceilings.

Sorry for the delay guys. Got my the system setup for some time now but didnt have much time to play with it :(

The SVSound system are really nice, very clean sound and loud! The ED sub is ok, i wanted more "rumbling" from it. It seem like it doesnt have deep enough bass to provide that "rumbling" feeling that i am looking for. I could be my setup as well. I am still trying to figure out the functions of my receiver (YAMAHA RXV671).

What settings do you guys use in the receiver? Also there are few knobs behind the sub, the only one i turn up is the volume knob.

I got the A2-250. I'm going to buy a sub Y-cable to see if that will help.

I think you may need check your reciever and see what kind of output strength that you have going to your sub......You should have plenty of output from the sub. If you used the autocalibration for the level that may be the issue. I had to significantly bump by output level up when setting up my sub.
