Why? 600N routers with 10/100 ports

Why on earth would a 600n or 750n wireless router have just 10/100 ports?

Did the engineering staff at these companies get a frontal lobotomy when designing this stuff?

Yeah, it's annoying. GbE should be the standard on all devices nowadays.

Incorrect info? You need to double check before being wrong.

I saw some belkin and netgear... If the glove doesn't fit then you must acquit

The competition for wireless routers is so high, and the margins so thin, that adding $15 to the cost of the router for GigE support would hurt sales, not help them.

Sorry but I took your general statment above meaning all routers which is not the case as there are GBit equiped models listed.

So, buy which one you want ... no problems.

I'm all ears for how I was wrong... My statement was if the shoe fits. If you as a manufacturer have a 600N or greater router w/ Gbit ports then I wasn't talking to you.

How else would you like me interpret what you said? You're statement could be read as there is no such thing as a 600N router with 10/100. Which would be incorrect.

Just to be devil's advocate for slightly large home networks I'd use a gig switch anyways and when It was the last time you've seen home internet speeds faster than 100mbps ??

Yea, I know it's nice to have few extra gig ports, but one has to step up few quids to them them - I like D-Link Gaming routers - they are around $120 new and I happen to have one lying around , but it's not the wifi one, only wired
