Have you seen any graphs, FR, Polar response of this speaker?

I guess as long as they sound great, that is what matters most.

Or are you basing 100% on your hearing audition?

No stated +/-3dB tolerance, no graphs, no polar response, no power response, no nothing.

So if Soundstage/NRC or Stereophile or Audioholics or at least Home Theater Mag does not measure them, how will people know if they are accurate or not?

Just by listening?

Oh come on AcuDefTechGuy, with your money just get you some 'MLSSA software' a cool Brüel & Kjær mic and your almost there , or for a little bit more get the AP 2700 series (Sys 2722) audio test and measurement instrument along with the controller software for your lap top and your in business.

I feel the same way. Sounds like work and I freaking took early retirement to get away from that stuff. Plus Grant's good at it, oh course he might want to get paid.

I auditioned them briefly and I liked them a lot. The dealer wasn't playing bass heavy music but whatever playing was tight and full sounding. Good chances they will not go as low as they claim or as my current speakers (they are taller and bigger), but I have 2 Jl f113 sub anyway. In my room I will not get flat response in the bass with large speakers. Hence downsizing... BTW, I would love to see measurements, I haven't and I don't get into it myself.

There is another active speaker that impressed me a lot, I noticed that there is not much talk about them because of the name brand or other reasons I don't know.
They have a tremendous bass and they play loud as hell.... Drums please...
B&O Beolab 5. You have to listen to believe it (considering the small size of these).

You know, I've heard a lot of good things about his speakers and I've heard quite a few great OB setups myself... hell, I even built one last year. But $15k ???.... seriously?????

I'm roughing it, but let's just say the raw drivers are $1300 (I"m sure you can get more accurate if you price them yourself on madisound)... that's a HUGE profit for his design and parts.

I had at one time considered doing the DIY version of the Orion but if this is any indication of the inflation for even that avenue, you can count me out. I'll just buy my friend's Tang Band/Peerless OB setup for 1/10 the price.

Yep, that's the other reason why I did not "support" them. Even that they seemed casual about them at the show... But what a drastic move that was from linkwitz!

I remember an episode when I was considering the Evolution Acoustics, until I found out they manufacture fancy cable. Soon as I told jonhatan (I think it's his name) that I tend to have reservations dealing with audio-cable companies he just disappeared (offended?!) without making an effort.
