Those two pieces are originally for piano.

I haven't gone in for transcription of Debussy's piano works. The Penguin Guide thinks this is decent enough and 3 Amazon customers are quite enthusiastic about it.

For Debussy's orchestral music, the first modern recordings that come to mind are those by conductor Charles Dutoit and the Montreal Symphony. I have most of them. They seem universally excellent and and are very well-recorded. But there are other conductors who have a good reputation with Debussy, such as Barenboim, von Karajan, Haitink, and Martinon. This one has most of the important works.

For much older recordings, I think of Ernest Ansermet and the Suisse Romande Orchestra. The sound is not as realistic, but I think they are very artistically done. Fritz Reiner and the Chicago Symphony did a wonderful recording of La mer, which is available in several iterations.
