i think there will always be a time limit on editing.

there used to be none, but one was added, so it's unlikely it will ever be removed.
some loser deleted/edited all his posts right before he got banned, and that's a no-no since everything we type here now becomes the forum's ownership.

That's unfortunate. Where I really wish we could edit our posts is the members' gallery or in any good deal/sale topics.
